If you have a good restaurant experience once, you look forward to going back. After a second great experience it begins to become a favorite,. But after a third great experience in a row, it starts to become cheers - especially when the service is great and "everyone knows your name!"
Last week, a short visit for supper turned out to be a fun time with the excellent service and food we have grown to love. On this night, we decided to try their "fajitas for two," a beautiful display including 4 choices of chicken, beef, shrimp and or veggies. You can pick and choose which combination you want adding up to four - we went for two chicken, one beef, and one shrimp, all of which were exceptionally prepared and seasoned. You can choose between flour or corn tortillas. But be prepared to take half home - the portion is a good size. The vegetables underneath that go in the fajitas were the best I've ever had - firm enough, very tasty and not full of grease, which helped to keep my fajita masterpiece from being messy and dripping down my sleeve.
Our waitress, Coral, was fantastic - willing to take time and check on us. She took real good care of us.
A terrific beer to partner this meal is Negra Modello, an amber, Vienna style beer with malt overtones.
Speaking of the best libations coupled with food, did you know Sol Toro has a list of over 240 premium tequilas that are 100% Blue Agave. Therre are some changes and special news coming out of Sol Toro with Many exciting changes I can't tell about because this blogger is sworn to secrecy. But, think..... if you knew nothing about tequila and wondered what tequila would go best with what meal, where would you go? After speaking to the manager Marshall, i was amazed at how narrow-minded I was concerning tequila. concerning upcoming events and changes at Sol Toro, let's just say you may want to put Sol Toro on your "ToDo" list for after the holidays.
That's all for now.
