When I was wondering what today's "Sun"-day blog would be about, I went searching and found an interesting communication that Mohegan Sun has started to connect themselves to Palmer, MA - where they are one of the four licenses competing in western Massachusetts. This newsletter, called the Mohegan Sun Palmer Community News is very well done, including news about
- Palmer Community News, Western Mass.
- Community Partnerships a Mohegan Sun Tradition
- The Many Ways to Connect with Mohegan Sun
- Keeping Up to Date Your Guide to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission,
- Mohegan Sun in the News, and

BBP
My wife and I ate at Bobby (Flays) Burger Palace recently. This is one of our favorite restaurants at Mohegan Sun - gourmet burgers, great fries and the best pistachio shake you'll ever have (made with real pistachio nuts). They offer a "burger of the month" that we take pride in sampling every month's since it's opening - except one (four cheeses? really?).
As usual, BBP did not disappoint - except for one thing. The price for the burger of the month was more expensive than the other burgers on the menu. I hope this isn't a sign of more price increases.
Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball Cancelled
Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled including Mohegan Sun’s concert originally slated for March 3rd, 2013. After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.
Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.
That's all for now.
