FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO SENDS SOLDIERS THEIR LOVE ON VALENTINE'S DAY
Foxwoods Resort Casino shows love to U.S. troops currently stationed in Afghanistan this Valentine’s Day, joining forces with Connecticut radio station, WWRX-FM Jammin’ 107.7, to send care packages that included candy, playing cards and a host of other gifts.
Just in time for the traditionally romantic holiday, Foxwoods partnered with Jammin’ 107.7 and the local community to send a different type of love – one of gratitude and respect for those working hard serving our country. Led by Jammin’ 107.7 DJ Miss L, the radio station collected gifts from local businesses to send to a local military base that will ship the gifts overseas for Valentine's Day delivery. Gifts were collected for one week at the WWRX-FM office in Ledyard Center and at Surplus Unlimited in Norwich. Foxwoods Resort Casino and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation were pleased to participate, donating 1,008 individual boxes of Godiva Chocolates, 144 decks of Foxwoods playing cards and 200 Nets/Foxwoods hand towels.
